The Shenzhen Light Show is commissioned by Shenzhen Municipal government with the aim to promote Shenzhen city as a cultural and artistic city. The theme is “vitality, modernity and innovation”.The scale of the Shenzhen lightshow is by far the largest in China, covering 43 buildings and 5 public areas at Shenzhen Central District, with 1.18 million LED lights.The 14-min “Buzzy City” lightshow will run for 1 year from 11 May 2019 to May 2020; every Saturday and public holidays. Summer season (Apr to Oct: @19:30, 20:30 & 21:30); winter season (Nov to Mar: @19:00, 20:00 & 21:00).
The lightshow is choreographed and produced by Voice-Light Shenzhen Science and Technology Development Co., Ltd.
My pattern was chosen to be the opening of the light show when participating in the making of this project. The pattern was generated in Processing, taking pixels and color of Mondrian paintings.
